[NEW] Move & Copy Entities Between Appointments

You can now move and copy certain chart entities between appointments directly in Charting 2.5 — no more switching back to Old Chart to do it. Each eligible row now has a kebab menu button that opens the familiar sheet menu, which now includes options for Move and/or Copy to a different appointment — across Intake, Orders (procedure notes + lab results), and Documentation.

  • What you can Move and/or Copy now:

    • Intake/Provider Notes → Move + Copy
    • Procedure notes & orders → Copy
    • PDFs & Images → Move
    • Comm Logs & Forms → Move + Copy
    • Lab results → Move
  • Callouts

    • The “Copy to new entity” and “Copy to a different appointment as a new entity” functions were not ported over to Charting 2.5 due to high implementation complexity and low usage among providers.
    • Moving ROS or PE shows a warning: In Charting 2.5, these entities can't be regenerated on the source visit. It is often recommended that you copy these entities rather than move them.
    • Billables parity with Old Chart: Moving entities leaves billables on the original visit; Copying entities creates associated billables on the target visit
  • Known Bugs & Limitations

    • If you move or copy entities and do not see your changes, refresh your browser. We will work on improving this experience.
    • Currently, only lab results are moved. In the future, we’ll look into moving the associated lab request as well.
